The Irene Spencer Room

Ballet & Dance Classes
The wooden suspended floor and nine metres of barre at two standard RAD heights are suitable for small dance classes or workshops. There are three large white boards available and BlueTooth speakers to play music from your smartphone
Choreography & auditions
The dance floor is 11 metres by seven metres and was designed for ballet practice and video auditions. The mirrors can be fully covered by a blackout screen during auditioning and filming
Exams and Workshops
The studio is in a discrete, quiet location, with an attached changing and "breakout" room. There are white boards in both spaces. The Soul Shala room next door provides an exam warm up area.
Individual practice
Like our other space, Soul Shala, the Irene Spencer room can be rented by individuals on a "drop in" basis for exam and audition preparation, injury recuperation or just for dancing! BlueTooth speakers are available to play music from your smartphone
Pricing & Opening
Rosehill Studios has been built and run by volunteers. Our ethos is to bring dancers together in an affordable venue, with prices ranging from £8 for students or recent graduates up to £25 per hour for classes. Drop-in sessions are our focus as we understand young and older dancers need access to rehearsal and video audition spaces
For block bookings, special arrangements can be made. The studios are open from 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday, with exceptional opening possible at the weekend.
Location & Parking
There is onsite parking for up to 8 cars. Exceptionally, more parking is available on the road. We are 5-10 minutes from the M4 and M40 motorways

Yoga Classes
Barre work
Measuring 3.5 metres by 9 metres, it is perfect for intimate yoga classes. Yoga blocks and other equipment are available
There is 8 metres of barre and a mirror for barre work. The floor is concrete with padded dance floor and is suitable for gentle centre work

A former dancer and yoga teacher, with a background in Chartered Accountancy, Palka is passionate about self development and spiritual growth

An aspriring ballet dancer, Alex has a passion for dance that was discovered later in life, after careers in Fairtade, the Merchant Navy and Journalism.
